During a Central Committee Meeting held in Entebbe, Mr. Andrew Mwanda who is the Spokesperson and Director of Communications for Patriotic League of Uganda announce changes in the Leadership.
Hon. Michael Mawanda who is a Member of Parliament for Igara East Constituency will serve as Director in charge of mobilization along with Mr Edwin Karugire as Director of Legal Affairs.
Mr. Michael Nuwagira Kaguta, better known as Toyota will serve as the National Vice Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) as well as acting Chairman of the civic organization previously known as MK Movement.
This came following the appointment of General Muhoozi Kainerugaba as Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
“Because our leader was appointed CDF, he can’t be involved in our work,” – Andrew Mwenda
Mwenda also added that, Hon Daudi Kabanda who is a Member of Parliament for Kasambya County will serve as the Secretary General of the Movement.
Ambassador Michael Katungi will continue to serve as the Director of External Affairs while Lillian Aber will continue to serve as National Vice Chairperson for Northern Uganda.
The Minister State Gender State for Youth and Children Affairs, Hon Dr. Balaam Barugahara Atenyi will continue serving as the National Vice Chairperson in charge of Western Uganda.
